Abstract Submission

Abstracts were accepted from January 15 – April 30, 2015. Applicants selected the parallel session topics that most closely correspond to their research and preference for an oral or poster presentation at the time of abstract submission.

Review of Abstracts

Abstracts were reviewed by members of the Scientific Organizing Committee and the Session Chairs. Although there were substantial opportunities for oral presentations in the parallel sessions, a dedicated poster session was also held in the atrium of the Science Complex.

Publication of Abstracts

The conference is pleased to announce that all accepted abstracts from both the oral and poster presentation sessions have been published in a special issue of the journal Genome. This enables abstracts to be easily searched and cited, providing exposure for the conference and for the research of all presenters. (View published abstracts here)

Publication of Articles

Prize winners, together with other outstanding contributors to the poster and parallel sessions, will be invited to submit their work as full journal articles for a special conference issue in Genome. Thanks to support from the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario and Genome, all articles will be open access, allowing any interested readers from around the world to access the research free of charge.
